Within a throbbing dance club atmosphere, David Byrne and Fatboy Slim deconstruct the astonishing journey of Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos and her meteoric rise and subsequent descent into infamy. Here Lies Love is neither a period piece nor a biography, neither a play or a musical but a wholly immersive spectacle combining disco beats, adrenaline-fueled choreography, and a remarkable 360-degree scenic and video environment to go beyond Imelda's near-mythic obsession with shoes and explore true questions of power and responsibility.HERE LIES LOVE is the revolutionary musical experience from David Byrne and Fatboy Slim that's being called "A LIFE-GIVING, ROOF-RAISING, BOOTY-SHAKING BLAST OF PURE JOY!" Don't expect to get a cultural breather after the past 12 massive months: Beginning early in January, there are can't-miss concerts, new and returning watercooler TV shows and specials, albums from rock legends, and the release of big-budget popcorn flicks that'll have everyone talking. With the caveat that all dates are subject to change (and, in same cases, simply our best guesses) here are our picks for the music, movies and TV to watch out for in 2014.

Neil Young only has a handful of tour dates planned for 2014, but they should be something special. Carnegie Hall will host a series of solo acoustic "An Evening With Neil Young" performances on January 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th, and while there have been no announcements about what to expect, Shakey's set at September's Farm Aid consisted almost entirely of covers, save for "Old Man" and "Heart of Gold." Then, on January 12th, Young will undertake the first of four Canadian shows in support of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, the group that's fighting to keep an oil concern from taking parts of its Alberta land. Diana Krall will serves as the special guest for those dates. This summer, Neil and Crazy Horse will head to Europe to play make-up gigs after canceling a slew of shows last year.

With the success Kendrick Lamar is having, it's not crazy to think his associate Schoolboy Q is in line for a big 2014. Q's major label debut Oxymoron will feature guest spots from the likes of Snoop, Action Bronson, Danny Brown, 50 Cent, and Raekwon. But judging from the first two singles, "Collard Greens" and "Man of the Year," it's Schoolboy's quickfire raps that should seal his stardom.

The 2014 F-Type draws its design and ethos from Jaguar's legendary D-Type and E-Type, but avoids any purely retro nods in favor of a modern take on the proportions, balance, and essential Jaguar-ness of those classics.

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is put to the ultimate test: After the iconic E-Type, which debuted in 1961 and was built until 1974, this is the first all-new Jaguar sports vehicle. Due to forty years of progress and invention, the E- and F-Types are worlds apart in terms of performance and technology, but comparisons are unavoidable. The rounded side body panels and circular tail-light accents are subtle nods to the original. Jaguar refuses to call the F-Type a tribute. The E-Type, on the other hand, was available as both a convertible roadster and a coupe, but the 2014 F-Type is only available as a convertible.

The 2014 Jaguar F-Type is a two-seat fabric-top roadster available in three trim levels: base, S, and V8 S. 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, headlamp washers, rain-sensing wipers, a deployable rear spoiler, and heated side mirrors are all included as standard. Full power accessories, automatic climate control, cruise control, six-way power-adjustable seats, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, Bluetooth, leather and suede upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen display, auxiliary audio jack, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, interior ambient lighting, iPod integration, a navigation system, and a 10-speaker audio system with CD player are also included as standard.

Forced induction is available on all three engines in the 2014 Jaguar F-Type. There's a supercharged V-8 and two new supercharged V-6s, with the V-8 having quad exhausts located outboard and the V-6s having twin inboard exhausts.

A 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine with 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque powers the standard 2014 Jaguar F-Type. The F-Type comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control that transfers power to the rear wheels. The base F-Type is expected to reach 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, according to Jaguar. The V6 engine produces 380 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque in the F-Type S. In 4.8 seconds, this vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph.

A 5.0-liter supercharged V8 powers the 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S, producing 495 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It is anticipated that it will take 4.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. The 2014 Jaguar F-Type 3.0-liter V6 with automatic transmission gets 23-mpg combined (20-mpg city/28-mpg highway), the F-Type S gets 22-mpg combined (19-mpg city/27-mpg highway), and the 5.0-liter V8 S gets 18-mpg combined (16-mpg city/23-mpg highway), according to the EPA.

After the initial shock of my family breaking apart, my outward response wasn't very emotional. I coped by being stoic and seemingly unaffected. I thought if I didn't expose myself to any more pain and vulnerability, I could never get hurt. If I didn't fall in love, no one could ever betray me like that again.

And fear keeps us from loving. Even though we're made to love, we're often afraid to love. We're afraid of being hurt deeply. Afraid of feeling the pain I went through when my parents divorced. But you're never going to really love something or someone unless you put those fears aside. Don't hold back. Being in love means being ready to give freely and openly, and being ready to risk something. Risking pain and disappointment, conquering your fears, and becoming anew. 041b061a72
